Possibly European Ewer With Rafia/Wicker Wrapping.
I can't help but think this jug/ewer might be European, French or maybe Spanish. I also think it might have some age to it.
Any suggestions on either would be helpful.
BTW, I'm tempted to remove the rafia/wicker as I really love the rather unusual shape but worry it might be to the detriment of the whole.
It is by the way ~12" tall.
Regards,
Jay.

Re: Possibly European Ewer With Rafia/Wicker Wrapping.
Denbydump, the bottom of the jug/ewer shows absolutely nothing other than a flat surface of coarse earthenware(?) clay, no marks, nothing at all.
I'm pretty sure it's European and possibly quite old. I should imagine it was made by some local thrower purely for the local market.....my question is where was that local market?

Need a base photo to check clay and construction, otherwise we're working on only 50% of the available info
