Re: Kohler Biel (Switzerland)
Selection of Hugo Kohler Biel slipware plates, except for the accordion player at the top which is marked Zahner (Arnold Zahner (1919 -2005) who was the designer for Rheinfelden).

Kohler Biel - Swiss traditional style pottery
Hello, I have this large 10" in diameter cheese saver, pottery with a wood tray, the pottery is signed inside but is illegible to me, the wooden tray is stamp marked HW. Does anyone recognize this artist and origin of the work. Any help in identifying this piece will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

two different potteries in Biel named Kohler
Please note:
There were two different potteries in Biel named Kohler.
1. Kohler Biel, these are the two brothers Stefan and Markus Kohler. The pottery worked to 1995 inclusive.
2. Hugo Kohler, he was the son of the ceramic artist Fritz Kohler. Hugo Kohler was already working in the '50s.
