Lovely piece and interesting too. I wonder if the figure lying is some sort of witch. Does it represent something meaningful from some regions culture, or is it a bit of fun ?

Looks British to me, quite likely to be a CPA member or someone that does the fairs.

Reminds me a lot of Sally MacDonell's earlier stuff.

Seems there are two ceramic artists by that name. One in Hereford making sculptures and one in Bristol making pots. This is the lady making sculptures.
