Chelsea pottery? Empty Chelsea pottery?

Post by abstract*toad August 9th 2022, 12:56 pm

Looking for some feedback please on this little charmer.
I believe it to be Chelsea, though the dots are missing, but it's the right medium.
I've had a few judges & lawyers down the years, but nothing like this. I believe he's quite a rarity.
Any feedback welcomed.

for me, the only link is the clay and the Yinyang but even that looks a bit off to me

Thanks for the feedback Dan, I do appreciate it 👍
Maybe it's wishful thinking on my behalf.

Looks like the same clay and glaze that Chelsea used so I think it’s right Excellent

I've had more than my fair share of Chelsea down the years, but nothing like this one, so I was a little doubtful.
Thanks again 👍

Ha! Not rubber stamped; just an observation.

Jesus! Initially said not, but looking at the funny glaze it is reminiscent of Chelsea and distinctive. How can I say this that it's not as Keats described things as a joy forever.

Whatever it is, it is a fascinating piece. I would with agree with not Chelsea though. Is it a judge? Or something else? Those hands and feet look almost partially webbed.

Sorry,  neglected to mention that he is a walrus, hence the webbed feet, with a removable head.
Yes, I agree, definitely a thing of joy. Wonderfully mad!!
