ID Help Please - Unsure What they are... Empty ID Help Please - Unsure What they are...

Hello, these pieces are quite unusual. One has red writing on one of the feet, which reads A118, but no other markings. I'm not sure what they are either...candles don't fit, wouldn't be egg holders and not good for salt etc as they're too textured. Any ideas welcome. Thank you :)
