Re: PHOTOS OF CORNISH POTTERS IN 1985.
hi Philpot, I have a copy of this booklet and we found it very useful when on holiday in St Ives in the early 80s as it contained the addresses of the potters and a map showing where the potteries were located, it added an extra bit of interest to a holiday seeking all these potters out and having a chat, we still have a fruit bowl by Greta Perry but other pieces by Corser and Bedding etc are long gone.

Re: PHOTOS OF CORNISH POTTERS IN 1985.
A thing that struck me, is the photo of Janet Leach. She would have been circa 57 in 1985. She looks a good deal older.
Apart from Janet Leach, the potter I most admire here is John Middlemiss, His work is so elegant and light. We had two of his pieces for over 20 years, but as you say in collecting, things come things go! With hindsight I regret getting rid of them!

I am always amazed how many potters never get the recognition they deserve ,Middlemiss is a good example. I think Janet leach was 67 in this photo but i think she always looked older than her actual age.
