Small Jug - Trying to identify mark

Hi,

Attached pictures of a small pot approx 3" in height, makers mark below the handle which I cannot identify. BluTack imprint included.

Would appreciate any help.

A slightly improved shot of the unknown makers mark below the handle of the jug. Keeping picking this piece up - it's got something!?!.....

Could this be of Japanese origin by any chance? Can’t shake the St Ives refs it has. À hommage perhaps?

I would be stunned if it turned out to have been made in Japan.

The handle isn't well made and the body of the jug looks heavy - was it coiled rather than thrown? A base image would help with that.
