Green glazed stoneware bowl - Inscription on base cannot ID maker....

Dear Forum,
Well made 8" diameter glazed stoneware bowl inscribed with the words "Ash Green" along with what appears to be an underlined capital P.
Cannot identify a maker and wanted to check whether the names/marks meant anything to anybody...

Ash green would be the glaze, P might be a firing code, so looks like a glaze test pot
