Dear Forum,

Attached please find 3 pictures of a shallow dish with heavily swirled decoration to the top (sure this pattern has a correct name - apologies for not including) and a thick light brown glaze to the base almost like treacle glaze.

The back is inscribed with "M UPPERTON". I know nothing about this potter / pottery and am drawing a blank on info regarding maker, age etc

Heavy in weight..

22cm long, 19cm wide.

Thanks in advance for any info

Kindest

It might be a person’s name but there also a place called Upperton in Sussex, so it might be a pottery club
