This is a charming vintage oil on canvas painting featuring a church and signed with an initial then ELLIOTT - the first initial is hard to read, perhaps B or D or E?  Can anyone help with who the artist is please?

There is a listed artist by the name of David Elliott. He does landscapes but it says "mainly in watercolour". Born in Stockport in 1942 and was/is a member of the Stockport Art Guild. Might be a possibility.
