Dolomite & Ash Glazed Teapot Identification
I posted this in a few FB groups last week, so apologies if you’ve seen this before. I’m hoping someone might recognize the impressed monogram on this stoneware teapot (purchased in Devon, UK) a couple of years ago?
I’ve done a fair bit of Google Image searching on the mark as well as the pot as a whole, but haven’t been successful so far. The most similar I’ve found are from Leach / Lowerdown Pottery ( in particular their Dolomite and Ash glazed standard ware), and a couple from John Vasey St Agnes, but nothing matches the mark.
Thank you kindly for any info.

Might be an unrecorded pottery from the 60s or 70s, or might even be French

That bought in bamboo handle was used by so many british potteries
Re: Dolomite & Ash Glazed Teapot Identification
Indeed, the shape , the Bamboo handle, and the glazing make it look so 1970's. The very time frame when there was an explosion of interest and practice in Studio pottery. Which produced a lot of good but somewhat samey pottery. Unfortunately, there was not room for all of them on the market.

Thank you for the replies. I spent the last 10 days trawling through every mark on the British & Irish Studio Pottery Marks website and come-up empty, so I should probably give-up on ID'ing this one.
Although.....just wondering if the short spout could be indicative of a known studio, or maybe a japanese origin?
Cheers,
Patrick

The short spout was pretty much standard on teapots with a cane handle. It helps with the pouring qualities.
