A Mediterranean vase?

Hello folks,

Could this be from somewhere around the Med? My wife thinks it possibly is eastern Europe. What say you?

23cm high - base diameter 11cm - well marked. The smaller mark appears to be a stylized pitcher that maybe forming a D on it's right side. The bigger stamp looks like it could either be Asian script but my feeling is it is UJB.

The thing at the top is either a butterfly or a bird.
