Dark Brown Tenmoku Glazed Vase - impressed MFC mark Empty Dark Brown Tenmoku Glazed Vase - impressed MFC mark

Dear Forum

Attached a well produced dark brown tenmoku glazed vase thrown with a base. 7” in height.

Impressed makers stamp on bottom edge.  Think the initials are a large capital “C” encircling either “HE” “HF” ME” “MF” or otherwise.

Would appreciate any help in IDing the maker etc.

I'm seeing MF. Maybe an unrecorded mark for Matthew (Matt) Foster?

Thanks as always. Hadn’t seen it as “MF” but but can now see what you see! Hadn’t considered Matt Foster as a possibility. Will have a look at his other work now…
