John Butler

John graduated from Harrow (University of Westminster) in 2001 where he became interested in wood-firing.

After graduating "Potty John", as he was known to his friends, built kilns and fired them alongside fellow graduated John Mackenzie.

The lidded jar was bought from John when his studio was based in North London and for many years it has been used to store instant coffee in.

Since then John has John has married and started a family and, as far as I am aware no longer makes pottery.

To be fair he was always more interested in building kilns and firing them than making pots and the last time I heard from him he was building an economically friendly home for his family.
