Help with identification welcome.
Hi all,
I hope this works, I am computer illiterate!
I am an avid collector of studio pottery and glass and use the identification tool on this site a lot (an excellent resource). But, as to be expected with such huge and varied discipline, i often come up short. So i would love any knowledge or opinions on my dead end research into the interesting (I hope) pottery i will be posting.
The bowl posted below is quite substantial, measuring 26 cms (10 1/4 inches) in diameter and 11.5 cms (4 1/2 inches) in height and weighs in at 1.75 kg or 3 and 3/4 pounds. Any help would be much appreciated- Ian.

Re: Help with identification welcome.
Maybe try a pencil rubbing of the mark. I’m not sure if it’s an animal or Western letters or Asian kanji stamp
