I wonder if there's an impressed screw mark on the footrim. Might be deliberate or an accident

Hi Naomi.
You know I hadn’t even noticed that! Pot is a new acquisition and I was so taken by the glaze and form I wanted to post it here asap to see if rang any bells?
I’ll inspect the pot tomorrow but if it’s a purposeful impression of a screw head then that’s the most cryptic signature I’ve got on any of my pots by some distance!
Nice pot though!
Thanks again

The shape isn't the most common and the mix of ash glazes doesn't look familiar, so it doesn't throw up any possibilities on my mind. However, it is well made and looks interesting.
The foot has been turned, hence the screw appearance.

Dear Naomi and Studio-Pots
Thanks for taking the time to come back on this pot. Really appreciated.
Have added a couple more pics I had of the base below. Apologies if quality is a bit askew!
Bit dark here to really have a good look at the indent here. Will try to get a loupe on it when it brightens up!
I agree that the pots got something going for it. Inevitably one then hopes that more of the back story comes to light. Alas this often doesn’t happen with this kind of piece.
Kindest and thanks to you both again as always.

Also evokes something from Tamba Ware to these untrained eyes which ain’t a bad thing in my mind!
