The very fist thing I thought when I saw them was all ratrher Macabre merging into almost horror. Then I saw your comment Naomi, which explained a lot. What a brilliant idea she has! Find an unexploited market and fill it. Quite brilliant.
There has been a substantial renaissance in the ,horror genre; just lately. A lot more print and comic books have been published. Equally the streaming services like Netflix have been a substantial amount of horror genre content The series Wednesday -a resurrection of the Adams Family Films- was the top watched series on Netflix.

Re: Jillian Riley
They're slip moulded and she uses decals. I had a chat with her once and she said the wheel-throwing studio potters tend to treat slip moulders as second class citizens.

Yeah, watching this vid I posted a few weeks ago it is a very industrial process. Very 'factory'. Not glamorous and romantic like a potter and his/her wheel next to a window. Although there is a lot more to it that I knew. It is a shortcut and practical.
I would compare it to packet mashed potatoes

Re: Jillian Riley
Some slip moulded pieces can be very intricate - just look at Emma Westmacott's work. Not many times you can use those moulds. And a potter can churn out hundreds of wheel thrown standard ware cups and bowls a week (some can do it in a day) so I don't see there's much of a difference. There are always pinch points in every "production line" in studio pottery such as altering, glazing, bisque firing and handles. For slip moulders there's also the time it takes to make the original and then create the moulds from it.

Banksy used rats in many of his best known creations and many people keep rats as pets.
