Tremaen Pottery (Cornwall)
One of my favourite potteries, created by Peter Ellery, first Marazion then on to Newlyn, Cornwall.

Re: Tremaen Pottery (Cornwall)
I didn't realise Tremaen pottery made pieces like that,I'll have to investigate.
I have a few Marazion pots somewhere...

Re: Tremaen Pottery (Cornwall)
Here's a piece I've had for about 20 years.
Virtually identical molding on both sides.
The base has the remains of brown felt which has been removed.
No idea how/why it has St Ives on the base?
I see the pottery was sold from a shop in St. Ives, so perhaps someone just remembered it was bought in St. Ives. Or, perhaps someone removed the felt hoping to read Troika and finding nothing decided to add St. Ives in the hope of fooling a potential buyer ? who knows, All I know is that it is there

Re: Tremaen Pottery (Cornwall)
Typical, I have this for 20 years knowing nothing about it, other than that it was Tremaen. Then within a few minutes of posting the pic's I decide to do a bit of further reading and discover that it is a Geevor Rectangular Slab Vase produced aprox 1973-1974

Cornish fish? - Tremaen
sponged blue background and shaped like Celtic Mouseole but carved fish decoration which reminds me of Tremar

Re: Tremaen Pottery (Cornwall)
Tremaen, maybe, rather than Tremar. Or Newlyn Celtic.
