German, Italian, or ?? Empty German, Italian, or ??

Hello - would welcome help to ID this item. It was sold as German, but some think it more Italian in style. It stands approx 35cms high. I have actually managed to find a handful of other items with the same decoration, but they either have conflicting origins or don't say where they were made or by whom. One described a vase with a very similar glaze and decoration as 'brutalist' in style? All agree it is MCM.
