Unknown US beaker, AK mark
I hope you all will forgive me for posting two threads like this right next to each other.
I picked this up the other day for a few dollars since it looked like it was made by an at least competent potter who chose an interesting glaze but I am unfamiliar with this mark.
It looks to me like "AK" but I could be wrong.

It looks the sort of piece that was made all over the place by many potters in the early 70's. Many people went into pottery making in the 70's in search of a 'Green' alternative lifestyle.

crunchberry if you have a lot of pieces this may not be the best place to post them all - we are not specialist in US studio pottery or do you suspect they are from the UK?

Just have 2 I was unsure about but I will keep that in mind in the future. I didn't realize the site was more UK oriented.22 Crawford St. wrote:crunchberry if you have a lot of pieces this may not be the best place to post them all - we are not specialist in US studio pottery or do you suspect they are from the UK?
