Sandy Dunbar collection at Aberdeen: Michael Cardew, Alan Caiger Smith etc
Looking at Scottish studio pottery collections in museums, and just found this wonderful newly donated (2023) collection at Aberdeen. Great selection of Michael Cardew and Abuja and other Nigerian pottery, plus Alan Caiger Smith and many others assembled by the late Sandy Dunbar. All with images online... (no marks, or multiple views alas!)

Thanks for that link. A high class and a quite eclectic one. Given that Michael Cardew and Alan Caiger Smith/Aldermaston have very different styles. . The Alan Caiger Smith lustre pieces are gorgeous.
Scottish Museums have some nice collections of Studio Pottery. Glasgow's is terrific, and Paisley has an excellent colelction as well.

Was at Paisley yesterday - outstanding collection, and VG new collections centre and storage. Also curators and collections staff v helpful and enthusiastic about the collection and keen for people to visit "behind the scenes"...
