Just trying to figure out the back marks on this mustard/jam pot.  Design suggest Japanese maker i'm guessing.  Wondering if this is a designers or manufacture mark.

Looks Japanese but might be late 19th-early 20thC European. 'dep' might be short for 'depose' meaning 'patent' found on French pottery.
