2 cups, 1 saucer, 1 plate, no marks…
Dear forum
Hoping that someone might be able to help to ID these four pieces for me, all of which are unmarked.
2 coffee cups - approx 4 inches in diameter and 2.75 inches in height. Striking handle shape. One cup has 6/6 written on the base. Presumably the retail price.
Plate and saucer approx 6” in diameter.
All four pieces display age-related crackling.
Thanks in advance

Very much Leach style decoration. Even down to the Z type marks on the bowl bowl. Probably from one of the apprentices working for themselves. But there were a fair number of them.

Hi Philpot
Thanks as always for your thoughts and insights - it’s greatly appreciated.
The decorative style of these pieces does remind me of some Leach tea sets I’ve seen previously.
Form-wise I felt that the pieces may be pre-war but would greatly appreciate any thoughts you may have!
Thanks again.

Very unlikely to be pre-war. Mostly everything was earthenware until 1937.The cups are quite large making them unusual if they are standard ware. Even more so with the plate decoration. Trouble is, without a mark of any sorts it is virtually impossible to give any certainty. They were VERY hot on the St Ives mark. It was one of their main selling points on standard ware.

It is NOT Leach standard Ware. The whole of standard ware was its complete uniformity, You could buy the same piece ten years after and guarantee it looked exactly the same. So
But it looks somewhat like decorative techniques used at Leach Pottery. The auctioneers description would be 'School of Brenard Leach' Leach pottery was much admired on the 60's and 70's.and there a lot of potters who copied its style in some form or another. The decoration would not be unusual in terms of that copying.

From the colour and lining , I wonder if these could be by the Fen Pottery of Huntingdon.

Thanks Hercules.
Appreciate your thoughts.
Not an expert on Fen so will bow down to any thoughts from other more versed Forum members!

No expert as previously posted, but currently unsure whether these pieces are from Fen but would be happy to be proven wrong!
