Etched/coloured silver plated (oriental?) small vase

Hi all,
This small vase (it measures approx 20 cm in height) is silver plated (on tin or pewter? Or maybe copper), and intricately etched with a decor of wild animals and nature. There are some vague colours left next to the white, notably red and blue. No marks. I think it might be middle-eastern, or maybe Indonesian/Javanese, but might be very wrong. Does anyone have any clues about its origin or age? Thanks for helping!
