Help with figurine, AJP mark Empty Help with figurine, AJP mark

I am just on holiday with the fam and found this in the back of a charity shop. I’m not sure if anyone on here will know who AJP is? I have removed some of the felt bottom and underneath is an invoice for clay from somewhere in stoke on Trent and it has a telex number so whoever it is they are British 20th century and possibly near stoke? Any ideas would be appreciated!

It is a very detailed and fussy figure for a studio potter to make. It might well be a maquette or single trial model for a much larger firm in Stoke. Of which there were a great deal. T
