Another teaser, Dish, JR mark Empty Another teaser, Dish, JR mark

People are so well informed on this site. Before asking i try to find the answers myself and usually fail. Offer it up here and in short time have a few ideas to look at.
This one is a lovely Large dish with "J R" OR MAYBE "J P"
Only scratched on the base but looks a nicely made piece that makes me think its a decent potter at work.
Any ideas
