Now that is a Super piece. Almost perfect in it complicated decoration. I do not think it is by a studio potter tho. Just because of exactly that.

Looking at the decoration around the rim, I would say that it is by a studio Potter. It looks like coils of clay that have been indented.

I was looking at it from a cost benefit analysis. Hand built that would have taken a substantial time to make. With no personal mark from a studio potter to make it an individual easily identifiable art item. With the amount of work put in it would have to sell at a substantial price.
A native pottery item perhaps?

I think that I might have seen something similar on Instagram recently by a potter that is currently working. A number of current ceramicists don't mark their work, so that isn't a problem. If I see anything like it again I will let you know.

I'm glad you rate it, they really nailed the geometry didn't they.
I've wondered it if was by a designer or sculpturer for that reason.

Thanks for the feedback.
The base looks fairly worn, perhaps there was a mark at some point.
I'l see if I can get a better photo and of the inside.
