Help identifying unusual piece of boat shaped groovy pottery
Hello everyone,
I am struggling to identify this very distinctive looking piece of pottery.
The mark is not terribly clear, I'm afraid, but hopefully someone will recognise the potter's work.
Thanks in advance to you all

Nice piece. I’m wondering if it’s an ikebana vase. 70s era?

Does the top of that mark say the date 96?

The style and clay and glaze says earlier than 1996 to me. I would have said 60S/70s at least

Thanks everyone
@Naomi - that's such a cool idea, I had no clue that Ikebana vases were a thing
@philpot - no, it doesn't say 96, I think it's just part of the potter's stamp pattern which hasn't been impressed firmly enough
@22 Crawford St - Yes, my thoughts were 60's/70's too
Thanks again to all three of you for your thoughts

The glaze looks similar to a piece I had by Barbara Dowling, and she did make ikebana but not sure about the marks

389 is likely to be a pattern number on production ware
