Re: Ray Marshall
I believe this is a Ray Marshall Yunomi:
Bought it as an unknown, as I liked the deep cut sides and glaze.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is.
Hopefully SP or someone will know for sure.
I've only seen pieces signed with his full signature before, but the R and M look correct.

Re: Ray Marshall
I've only ever seen his work with a full signature but both the R and M look like his signature and it is the kind of thing stylistically that he made................ so I would be happy to say that it's by him.

Re: Ray Marshall
This reminds me I haven't posted the one and only piece of his pottery that I've got.
I'd never heard of him before I bought this and couldn't read the signature anyway.
But I absolutely LOVED this when I saw it at a fair last year (Naomi was interested in it, hiding at the back of a group find pic that I did post).
Stands approx. 10 inches tall.
This will probably stay in my collection until the day I die, because I love it so much.

Re: Ray Marshall
I found this hiding on ebay (for a good price). It had been on for at least 3 months, but not correctly identified. It does have a restored handle (two large chunks have been re-attached), but still a nice item. The jug stand just under 7" tall and 10" with the figure on top.
It seems Ray had a sence of humour.
I knew he was a Cheeky Chappy
But I got a real shock when he arrived and I looked more closely inside
No that's not a tongue.
I'm not sure if the figure is supposed to represent anything - Fertility Figure, Naughty Imp etc.
But he's cute
