Murano pheasants
Hello.
I just picked these two pieces at an online auction for very little money. They were advertised as "Camer" glass, though I know that Camer was an importer. They also have what might be import stickers on the bottom. They are each about 17" beak to tail, copper, cased, and some gold in the leaves or whatever hangs off the base. I have read that Salviati made similar pieces and designed for Barbini, and that Camer imported a lot of Barbini. I'm wondering if I'm on the right track. I saw a similar pair attributed to Salviati on a website. Thank you.
