A bit of oddball Wedgwood.
Had this kicking about for ages, struggling to find out much about it. Silver plated redware, it's clearly seen a lot of use. I've only ever seen one anywhere else that is similar. I can't post links as I'm too new but googling 'wedgwood pin tray carters' brings it up, titled 'rare wedgwood pin tray with silver plating'. Different design on it and can't see the markings from the only picture of it I can find. Have struggled even to date it from the markings on the back. Wondering if anyone can maybe shed some light on it?

Re: A bit of oddball Wedgwood.
Can't say I have ever come across a Wedgwood terracotta body before.
ENGLAND implies after 1891, but the spacing and alignment of the letters
is rather odd, implying they were impressed one letter at a time?
Most odd.

Aye, it's certainly a strange one, not entirely convinced of its authenticity even. They definitely look to have been impressed individually.denbydump wrote:Can't say I have ever come across a Wedgwood terracotta body before.
