Vibrant Glaze Monks - Child & bible Figurines - Portugal
Hello
Does anyone know if this is a depiction of any specific monk at all?
Not a St Christopher in my opinion but hey who knows.
I picked these up because of the gaudy vibrant gloss glaze colours. Looks more slip than plaster in moulded form.
There are impressed marks but they seem random symbols rather than digits or letters. Could be a T and 90 though.
Some crazing to the yellow glaze but certainly not proof of any aging.
Thanks
