Help with identification if possible, PB mark?
I recently acquired this heavy stoneware vase.
18.5cm tall, 16cm diameter rim and maximum diameter, 9cm diameter base, weighs a hefty 2.15kg. The clay is quite thick, ther rim is about 0.5cm and the bady probably thicker still.
I have tried interpreting the mark in many different ways without success.
Is it a professional / artist piece or is it a night school enthusiast, I'm undecided.
Whatever it may be, I love it! Opinions would be welcome.

Possibly a BL or PBL or PB mark. Looks 1960s-70s era. Not a mark I've come across before so I think a hobby potter is likely

Yes, some of the many interpretations of the mark I have tried. I fear I may never know!

I think it's PB and it looks like one of the marks that the ceramicist Percy Brown used.
However, it is definitely not by him and I would agree with Naomi that it is the work of a hobby potter.

Peter Bolton used a similar mark but it's not his usual style of decoration
