Hodson of Burnley plate, mid-century?

Hi.  Hope someone can help id this plate.  Bought recently at an auction in the north of England it was described as a Mid Century (1950s) Hodson of Burnley Studio Pottery Plate (10").  I've been searching for some time now but cannot find any Studio Pottery based in Burnley under the name of Hodson which has led me to believe (rightly or wrongly) that this plate was commissioned by a company called Hodson who were based in Burnley.  It has a striking mid-century design and the mark on the back is in gold.  The mark itself is quite an elaborate monogram that I think reads RW, but again I've had no success in id-ing this mark.  So if anyone could help identifying the maker or who Hodson of Burnley is it would be much appreciated.  Many thanks
