Japanese? Raku? Can you help identify style and signature?

Not raku and it appears to be made from stoneware from your image.

Certainly nothing to suggest that it is Japanese and I would suggest that you ought to thinking that it might have been made realatively local to you.

Came from a foreign service officer’s estate who had items from all over the world and nothing local so I’m doubting it’s local. Hoping to narrow it down so thanks for the reply!
