The mark is one of five different ones they used after WW2. They were used for different patterns or styles. It is definitely not the 1940's. As there were severe government rationing as o what type of pottery could be produced. Products were all severely utilitarian.
Its probably somewhere in the mid or later 50's.

The design is called "Green band Waverley" and was advertised in the Pottery
Gazette directory in 1942.
