Trying to do some research on this UNMARKED piece and although similar in style I can't find a Mark Griffiths typical mark . Can anyone help and also that hole looks deliberate and goes right through so water comes out but i cant think why it would be there ?? It is only 17 cm tall .

Perhaps it had a tap or maybe its a lamp base.

It appears to be a lamp base but I can't understand why you think it is by Mark Griffiths rather than anyone else. Can you explain?

I know that there is no mark but with all IDs a base image is essential.

Probably thinking it was Mark Griffiths is wishful thinking . I am pretty new to the world of studio pottery but just drawn to it . Here is a picture of the base .

We've had unmarked pots with similar decoration but they're still a mystery.

It looks to be from the 1970s when looking at the base, so I suspect it will be difficult to identify.
