Tang Dynasty Terracotta Horse?
Hi there! I recently acquired this horse statue, along with some other collectibles. I don't live in an area where I can easily bring it somewhere to have it checked out. Looking for any help on how to date/value this item. It appears like a Tang Dynasty statue, but I know it could be a replica. Also, depending on the outcome, looking for a place to sell. I see several listed online, but I would be more interested in a quick sale. Not sure where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

It looks rather crude in its modelling. If you compare it with 'Tang dynasty' horses on Ebay, it does not compare well.

The chinese are renowned for superb copying of Ceramics. They made a whole industry of exporting these wares to the West for hundreds of years. Just because it looks like something, does not mean it is that!

It's a very specialist area. You'd need to ask an expert. Most of us are in the UK so can't really help with advice on where to take it for appraisal in the US
