Ewelme slipware pottery from Ewelme near Oxford. The only potter currently at Ewelme is Harriet Coleridge but this doesnt look like her style or mark - IDed as Jonathan and Sue Atkinson, 1980s

No trace of the Potter but the Pottery is still on old village records. Doesn’t appear to have any connection with Harriet Coleridge aside from being in the same village, but different building and probably dating from the 70s-80s, where as Coleridge set up in the 2000s

Sponged decoration round the base. Is this Bell pottery?
We don't seem to have a thread for this one.

Strange, I'm sure I have a jug somewhere

Recently heard they owned Ewelme Pottery making slipware before Harriet Coleridge moved there

Via their website:

Jonathan & Sue Atkinson set up Bell Pottery just after getting married in 1968. At the beginning, they produced slipware and some tin glazed dishes, working in Herefordshire on Midsummer Hill and later moved to Ewelme, near Oxford. The name Bell Pottery was created in 1990 when they started to make spongeware in addition to the tiles Jonathan was making at that time. They then settled near Charlbury, in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds.
Jonathan & Sue's daughter, Jane joined them to work alongside her mother decorating the pots.
Sue died in 2008

There are a fair few attractive spongeware pieces around with hares and ducks etc, but I’ve not seen moulded pieces like this before
