It might be Frank Smith. He had a couple of marks. I've got one of his with the other style of mark.

FS mark, Australia, similar to Frank Smith
The mark does look like one of Frank Smith's marks. His was the first studio pottery that I bought back in the late 1980s.
I don't recognise the style of this being his but he was potting on his own from around 1970 so he made many things. Although not stylistically like anything I've seen it's not a million miles away so it could well be by him. Can't be 100% certain though.

Hi, thank you for your help. I haven't had any luck on finding information on Frank Smith as the Potter. would anyone have any bio or history on him and his work?
