Is the decoration hand drawn? I'm wondering if it's 18thC Dutch or English Delftware

Hi Naomi, thank you so much for posting. I know nothing about ceramics, so it's difficult for me to tell whether it is hand drawn. It's irregular, and blurry, and has some flaws, smudges, but this could equally be from hastily applied stencilling?? I can't see any raised 'paint' like one might do on an oil painting, but maybe this doesn't happen on ceramics?

I think it’s transfer ware. Possibly late 19thC European; maybe Spanish

Thank you so much Naomi. Know any 19thC Spanish specialists? :-)

There are lot of pottery groups on Facebook but I don’t know if there’s one for Spanish pottery

That broken kind of effect on the decoration makes me think it might be largely stencilled (with some additions by hand) rather than printed.

Thank you Hercules.
I have emailed a (random) ceramics dealer in London to see what they know, and may take it in to them so they can see it in the flesh
