Is this one of John Maltby's / student or copier?.

Unmarked except for incised initials ECC underneath the base

Height including square base: 20cm

Not John Maltby. Those scratched initials look rather amateurish. A copier probably. Still for all that, quite a nice piece..

Interesing construction. I'm guessing the vase has been stuck on to the base.
Seems to be a bit better than your average night-school.
