Stoneware vase, Richard (Kit) Caplin ? Empty Stoneware vase, Richard (Kit) Caplin ?

Stoneware vase for ID please.
I was told that this was potted by a certain Richard (Kit) Caplin. Apparently he is now working in the USA.
The mark is like an incised zero 0. The line through it is a firing crack.
I can find no evidence to support what i was told, so likely to remain a mystery. If anyone knows otherwise I'd be grateful for any info.
