I can see a number with 22 but can’t make the rest of it out. Each carver was allocated an E number, eg, E9.456, which will be listed on the Inuit carver websites like Katilvik.com. The website also has an Inuit alphabet. I see there are at least two Inuit characters incised on the base; a triangle and an ‘r’, which is the carver’s name
