Im guessing its Japanese.
its from the tv series Money (magic) also known as "journey to the west"
im trying to find any details about its age and makers mark.

It looks Chinese, and the series was Chinese, first broadcast in 1986.

Hi there thank you for the info Wikipedia says Monkey Tv series was Japanese 1978 to 1980
however journey to the west was from a Chinese novel in the 16 century.
