I picked this up at a car boot sale this week for the princely sum of 50p, and happy to do so as I find it pleasing, colourful and cheerful. Having had a nosey round on t'internet I was suprised not to find another one like it. I thought it might be a mass produced piece for the decorators market and fully expected to be immediately disappointed. It does have a hand incised initial D on the base plus what I take to be a figure 4 in a circle, though this could be a symbol as part of the strokes do go off at an unusual angle.

If anyone can identify it I would be most grateful, even if it is a disappointment!
