Japanese plate?
Hello, I have bought this nice plate at fleamarket and am not sure if it is Japanese o Chinese and perhaps a little bit older than early 20th century. It is in good condition and only have some minor fabrication marks. The plate is a bit thick in the material and doesnt have that slender feeling than handled. There is curiouse mark 12 50 under the glaze on the bottom side. Hope the pictures are good enough. Yours Chrille
Re: Japanese plate?
I think it’s Chinese canton ware; the decoration round the border is similar to Chinese medallion ware but not in the 19thC style, so I think it’s mid or late 20thC but I could be wrong. A Japanese copy might be possible

It's an impressed chop mark but not clear enough to figure out (for me).
