Silver and Gilt Art Deco Flying Fairy Winged Lady - 9738 A - Painted Code
Hello All
Well I thought this would be an easy identification as I was thinking possibly Limoges but nope.
A some 7 3/4 inch high fairy / dragonfly winged lady with a more industrial Art Deco body styling.
Finished in gilt and silver with turquoise dappling on the wings outer surfaces.
Coded to base with 9738 A
I have started to wonder if it is not Czech.
All helpful help is appreciated as always.

Try Googling Galos Figurine of a fairy, advert on Catawiki.
i think Galos makes / made showy figurines etc.

See what rather make now at porcelanasgalos.com - very similar to colourful stuff by Sargadelos. And quite pricey too.
Your piece must be an older one. According to photo on CATAWIKI your figurine had a marble base.

Cheers Ben
Galos was pretty well looked through before posing up the piece. I had imagined it was made within the last 40 years though and their coding also matched quite well. If there was a plinth that was probably where the logo would have been or on a sticker label which they also used in the 1980's. Ultimately I left the name out of the original posting as I felt it may not be them and sat back to see what other suggestions came in. Galos base finishes vary some and they do have wider unglazed rim examples though generally if it is to go on a plinth/base the gilt finish is sloppier on the underside as they know it will not be visible and their coding numbers are normally in black rather than gilt here.
