Arresting bowl impressed SB mark in a circle, possibly Sue Barker

Dear all

Attached please find photos of a footed bowl. Lightly decorated in an oriental/Leach manner.

Height 5”
Diameter at top 6.5”
Diameter at bottom 3”

Makers mark - Impressed SB in a circle

Any thoughts on maker gratefully received!

Haven’t found a Sue Barker piece that carries two impressed marks, SB in a circle accompanied by a mark which appears to reference the pottery where she was throwing.

Will keep rooting around….

There’s Steve Barkworth with an SB stamp but has a dot or two in the stamp

Apologies, in my last post meant to say that I couldn’t find any examples of a Sue Barker which has only one impressed mark…..sorry!

I’ve seen several of these SB stamps on their own and Sue Barker is the closest. Maybe her later work; I think she switched to porcelain later on

Steve Barkworth has a similar mark, but usually there’s a dot between the letters. I don’t know if this is his style of pot

FYI European lead has not been fruitful yet. Think it’s more likely to be British…

Is it porcelain? A lightness of weight would indicate that.

Not porcelain. Definitely too heavy…
