Is this red tile a T A Simpson & Co one?

The number looks to be PP1975. 157. 1. Can anyone say if this refers to a date?

Also, did T A Simpson have any connection to T R Boote, as this cream/green tile below is the same design.

The red tile is likely to be by T A Simpson & Co.

Goddens says they used a lion and shield mark, but shows no example.

Unfortunately no example here either.
